"Martin Wheeler, one
of the Lamkin's Black Belts, introduced me to Mr. Kevin Lamkin
and his brother, Mr. Eric Lamkin, who trained and taught Ed Parker’s
American Kenpo Karate in Louisville. I immediately began my training
with the Lamkin’s. In July of 1998, after much training
and hard work, I earned my 1st Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo
Karate. In August 2003 I earned my 2nd Degree Black Belt under

Kevin Nicholson's Teaching
Philosophy:
" ... My philosophy mirrors
that of my instructors, Kevin and Eric Lamkin. They have always
emphasized that you must train diligently and develop your basics
in order to enhance your capabilities for more advanced techniques.
You should never short cut your training to attain a ranking.
... This system is structured to teach practical self-defense
through the use of efficient, well designed, and scientifically
sound technique."
Recommendation:
"I highly recommend Kevin
Nicholson as an instructor. Kevin is highly analytical, devoted
to the martial arts, and perfectionist. Kevin attended our Instructor's
Candidate Training Course from 1995 - 1997. In that course, Kevin's
teaching ability was honed to a professional Instructor, earning
him Full Instructorship. It is these, among other reasons that
I have selected Kevin Nicholson as a Regional Representative of
the American Kenpo Legacy Association."
