Martial Arts Background:

- Tae Kwon Do
Michael owns and teaches at Warrior
Scholar Kenpo in Cuba, Missouri. His main goal is to preserve
and teach Ed Parker’s American Kenpo Karate.
"I started training
in American Kenpo in 1996 under Jim Mitchell. For over a decade
American Kenpo has been a driving force in my life. Changing
me from a weak, easily intimated youth into the respected and
driven man I am today. I cannot fathom where I would be without
the influence of American Kenpo in my life."
- Michael Deslongchamps
Teaching Philosophy:
I tend to teach a little
“harder” than most of the school in my region. However,
my goal is to push people but not break them. I strive to find
a person self-imposed limitations and push them just past it.
My greatest reward is when a student looks back on the journey
they’ve taken and thinks, “Wow! I can’t believe
I’ve come so far.
- Michael Deslongchamps
Recommendation:
"I highly recommend Michael
as an instructor. Michael has demonstrated the abilities of a
very good leader and instructor. The high-quality performance
of his students is evident as a fruit of his labor. It is these,
among other reasons that I have selected Michael Deslongchamps
as a Regional Representative of the American Kenpo Legacy Association."
